So I am in a picture with this lady…

Which pretty much means I sat one chair away from Michael Kors. Two from Heidi.

Okay this is the other video I mentioned yesterday. This one isn’t a narrative, it’s a bit more of an experimental-performance-art piece, but I’m into that too.
“Another friend of mine (Sarah Piantadosi, who was behind the Stop Motion Vogueing video a few posts back.) was the Director of Photography on the Video Lookbook for the new Nova Dando line.”
Designers are starting to get more creative in the ways they show off their garments. For their Spring campaign the folks at Steve Alan put together this short film. It’s nice. Feel good.
Also I was pleasantly surprised to recognized two of the folks in the video. Kat Clements and Andrew De Francesco, two folks I met briefly in Paris, were the Stylist and Still Photographers for the project. They make a cameo around the 4:30 mark. They’re the cute couple behind the counter.
Another friend of mine(Sarah Piantadosi, who was behind the Stop Motion Vogueing video a few posts back.) was the Director of Photography on the Video Lookbook for the new Nova Dando line. (The youtube link is down but you can watch it on the website for now… NovaDando.com)

I’m writing a book-on-tape. I’m skipping the book and going straight to the tape. I’m writing exactly what I would have loved to read at age 13. In fact the hero is even named Luke and has long red hair. I’m aware of how self-indulgent this whole thing is. It is a fantasy, there are flying airships. So don’t take it too seriously.
In addition to not being able to remember people’s names in real life, I am terrible at making up names. (Unless of course we’re talking about puns, then I’m the champ. I have a friend named Bronwyn. She has the best name ever for punning. Bronwynsaurus, like Brontosaurus. Bron-loser, change the wyn to loser. Etc.) I think I have all of the characters and locations figured out, but I do not have names for all of them.
I’ve only got four characters out of 11 named. It’s hard. I don’t want to give them stupid Fantasy names…
(Back to my story…)
The Hero, Luke. I’m back and forth on this one. Some days I feel too vain, other days I just don’t care.
An old captain, Malcolm Reynolds (Stolen directly from Firefly.) It is supposed to be an homage but I might have to change it a bit. Maybe I’ll change “Reynolds” to “Reyn” or “Renn”. Although that is starting to sound a little bit too Fantasy.
An upper class lady, Clare. Named after a contestant on Australia’s Next Top Model.
A scientist, Colin. Named after a contestant on Make Me A Supermodel.
I know… two people named after modelling-reality-show contestants. It’s just that I was watching these shows a lot while I was making up the story and these two fit the characters quite well. Although both characters have to be older in the story than they are in real life.
I still need names for an old Princess (40ish), a soldier, a tough-young-lady, a grumpy old man, a handful of bad guys and a few others.
Don’t worry, the Princess won’t be named Tyra.
I’ve blogged about my voguer acquaintance Dangerkat before and now she put up a new super-duper fancy video. Stop motion is in. The photographer behind this bit of magic, Sarah Piantadosi, is from Winnipeg but now lives in London. I hung out with her a little bit when I was there but unfortunately I didn’t vlog anything.
Additionally, the best few seconds of my life were captured with stop-motion.
From the Via Snella Fall 09 collection.

Came across this on Swipelife.com, my new favourite Mens fashion blog.
That model kind of looks like Emminem.
I’ve been looking into getting a new bag for school.
I really like this one by Hard Graft. You can use it in 8 different ways which I’m always in favour of. I use my fanny pack as a shoulder bag a lot. The trouble is that it costs around 400 Euros and is a limited edition. I like the brown leather but that one is sold out. The next batch is gunmetal grey or something like that. So it’s out.
These next two are by a Canadian company called Matt & Nat. They’re “vegan leather” which is fancy pants for fake leather. I’d prefer the real thing but reviews are positive. They’re a little bit big and I would prefer something in a brown but oh well. I’m leaning towards this first one.
