In the Mail
I am awaiting the arrival of three items:
1. Art
I ordered a Jumbo Print of Christopher Walken building a robot in his basement. Brandon Bird paints funny paintings.
2. Night Vlogging Kit
I ordered a Do-It-Yourself LED Camera Light Kit. Attaching this little number to the bottom of your digital camera allows you to film in total darkness.
Why does this kind of scare me? It means Party Video is now a viable option.
What did people want that was missing from my Paris Fashion Week video blogs? Celebrities. I only saw them in dark clubs.
I’ve been thinking this over… do I really want to try to become The Cobrasnake of video?
Maybe. Here’s what I would like to do, I want to put together a demo-reel of my Paris stuff, maybe some other funny things, and submit it to Nylon, Paper, etc. and try to get a job as their web-video-correspondent for next NYC Fashion Week. I think that would be very, very fun.
I don’t want to be a reporter, people can get facts anywhere. I think my talents are giving people a story, making friends and finding exciting things to do. I think that kids who read fashion blogs would really be into my outsider-goes-insider/normal-guy-living-the-dream perspective. So why not give it a try?
Plus being that this is a kit I get to solder it together myself. If nothing else that is worth it.
3. Earphones

My third pair of Tunebuds Mobiles are on their way. The first two died. Good thing for warranties. I don’t really dig the standard iPhone headphones. These are the cheapest in-ear alternative with a microphone. They’re okay.
Luke! I bought that same Christopher Walken painting printed on a baby bib to welcome my friend’s new little girl into the world in 2005.
[...] to your digital camera or camcorder. I called it the NightVlogger 160 after I read the term on this article of someone willing to use this type of light to allow him to take paparazzi style video at night. [...]
